Our new Privacy Manager puts privacy choices at your fingertips

Your privacy is very important to you. That’s why, when you visit HealthCare.gov, we always make sure we have crucial measures in place to protect the information you share.

We’ve just added a feature that allows you to manage some of the data we receive from you simply.

The “on” and “off” switches are easy to operate

We use standard web tools to collect information as users use HealthCare.gov, such as what websites they came from, what HealthCare.gov pages they visited, how much time they spent on the site, where they exited, and other similar behaviors. We solely use it to help us enhance the site and our public outreach.

You can, however, choose not to enable us to gather this information during your visits if you want. With our new Privacy Manager, you can simply alter settings to match your needs.

To track various types of information about your site visits, all you have to do is pick “on” or “off”. If you choose to opt-out, you’ll still have full access to HealthCare.gov, but we won’t use your visit to enhance the site or utilize digital advertising to remind you of important dates and deadlines.
