1) You can obtain high-quality coverage
All SHOP plans provide your employees with a package of ten comprehensive benefits. It includes pre-existing medical conditions, hospitalizations, pregnancy, preventive care, doctor’s visits, prescriptions, and other services.
2) You have control over your coverage and costs
The SHOP Marketplace program makes it easy to find and compare insurance options. You can control the health coverage you provide and the amount you pay toward employee premiums. In addition, you may be eligible for a tax obligation credit worth up to 50% of your monthly premium costs.
3) Coverage is available in every state
You will have access to the SHOP Marketplace despite the state where you run your business. In some regions, you need to apply for coverage through your state’s agency website. In other cases, Insurance Shopping will be used. Discover the SHOP Marketplace program that best serves your needs.
In 2021, the SHOP coverage is open to companies with 50 or fewer ( full-time equivalent employees). Self-employed? You would not use SHOP coverage; instead, you’ll use the Marketplace health insurance for individuals and families.
