The start of Open Enrollment for Marketplace health insurance in 2022 is only a few weeks away. Here are some critical dates for healthcare enrollment and other events to keep in mind:
- Open Enrollment 2022 begins on November 1, 2021. This is the first day in 20222 that you can enroll, re-enroll, or switch health plans.
- December 15, 2021: To have your health plan begin on January 1, 2022, you must enroll or change health plans by this date.
- The deadline to enroll in a 2022 health plan or make a change is January 15, 2022. After this due date, you can only enroll or modify plans if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
